Welcome to Midland-Silver-Waistocat.co.uk, the only place to find the latest news and results to past and future events.As many will know the first event kicked off on Sunday the 1st of February 2009, and hopefully it will be the first of many successful tournaments aimed at giving the up and coming youngsters of the snooker world a taste of competitive match play.

So who can enter? Well as long as you are under 25 have an interest in snooker and can make it to either of the venues then you are eligible (however to keep to the etiquette of snooker we ask that participants wear trousers).

So how much does it cost? Entry to the tournaments is £15 per event with prizes for plate winners, semi-finalists and finalists.

So how much snooker will I get?The answer to this will depend on how many entries there are, the more players the more snooker we can guarantee you, essentially you will play in a round robin format which means you will play best of 3 frames against all of the players in your group, the top 4 of each group will typically go onto the last 16 with the bottom 4 go onto compete in the plate. Knockout matches from the last 16 onward will be the best of 5, so to put it simply the worst you can do is play 14 frames of snooker!So if you feel its time to show your stuff on the baize come along and compete against some of the finest juniors around.
